Travis Kelce Breaks Down His London Trip With Taylor Swift: “London Is Fun”

Travis Kelce talks London, West End shows, and food with Taylor Swift, then jokes about being the less famous half of the couple.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have already moved on from their recent London getaway, but the details are now coming straight from the source. On the latest episode of New Heights, posted Wednesday (May 13), the Kansas City Chiefs tight end finally filled in some blanks about the trip he took overseas with Swift.

His brother and cohost, retired Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, wasted no time pointing out how the news broke online first. “I found out you were in London on the internet, that was fun,” Jason said.

“London is fun, Jason,” Travis answered. “For the most part, [we] had some really good food and enjoyed some plays.”

That included a West End outing that fans had already clocked. Swift and Kelce were spotted at Romeo & Juliet on May 7, with the production starring Sadie Sink and Noah Jupe, who Travis singled out on the podcast. “He was f–king phenomenal as Romeo. Sadie was phenomenal as Juliet as well,” he said.

He also made a point of talking up an Indian restaurant they visited in London, which only gave Jason more material to work with. The older Kelce teased him about being a picky eater, telling him, “Taylor has gotten you out of your comfort zone more than I ever did.” Jason then doubled down: “You didn’t like food before you started dating Taylor.” Travis fired back, “Bogus.”

For Swifties, the appeal was partly in the photos that surfaced of the 14-time Grammy winner and her fiancé out in the city. The pair also reportedly attended Poppy Delevingne’s 40th birthday party before returning to the States.

Later in the episode, Travis turned from London memories to a different kind of celebrity equation when he welcomed Colin Jost onto the podcast. The two quickly bonded over what it’s like to be the less famous half of an ultra-famous couple.

“As two guys who are also of the plus-one fraternity and have the same experience, how nice is it to be the less famous person in your relationship?” Travis asked the Saturday Night Live cast member, who is married to Oscar winner Scarlett Johansson.

“Huge relief,” Jost said, drawing laughter from Travis and Jason. He added, “It’s really funny, because I think I’m probably approached more, because she’s less approachable. She’s almost so famous that they don’t believe it sometimes.”
