Oasis’ Live '25 Reunion Documentary Heads to Theaters Worldwide

The long-awaited Oasis reunion film lands in cinemas worldwide on Sep. 11 — and it contains the first time Noel and Liam Gallagher sit down together in 25 years.

The currently untitled documentary, produced in partnership with Disney, magna studios and Sony Music Vision, traces Oasis’ triumphant Live ’25 stadium run — the band’s first full set of concerts in 16 years. Filmmakers Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, whose credits include Shut Up and Play the Hits and Meet Me in the Bathroom, direct, while Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders, A Thousand Blows) serves as executive producer.

Studios say the film draws on rehearsal footage, backstage moments and performance material to map the tour’s arc. Crucially for fans, it also features the Gallaghers in a joint interview — their first together in a quarter century — alongside reflections on how the reunion landed as a global cultural event.

“I genuinely cannot wait for the world to see this film. I believe it captures the spirit and emotion of a global cultural moment and does justice to the wit and genius of two exceptional people.”

Knight added that the film is as much about listeners as it is about the brothers:

“I wanted to tell the story of the brothers and the band, but just as important, the story of the fans whose lives the music has touched and sometimes changed forever. It is also the story of how music and songwriting can unite generations, cultures, countries and in a time of spite and division, give us all some reason to hope.”

Theaters will get the first look on Sep. 11, with a later global streaming rollout on Disney+ and, in the U.S., Hulu. Select IMAX locations will also show the film; worldwide IMAX listings are expected in the coming months.

Oasis’ Live ’25 tour began in Cardiff, Wales, on July 4 and stretched to 41 shows around the world, marking the brothers’ reunion on some of the biggest stages on the planet. Fans filled stadiums, and the documentary promises to capture not just the music but the atmosphere around a tour that suddenly felt like more than a string of concerts.

There has been chatter about more Oasis dates in the years ahead, but as of now no further shows have been officially announced.
