Long Odds Announce The Dry Land, Share the Easygoing “Faorah”
Long Odds announce The Dry Land, due 7/24, and share the warm new track “Faorah.”
Even with Times New Viking back in the conversation, Adam Elliott is not putting Long Odds on the shelf. The post-TNV project has a new LP on the way, and it arrives with a song that wastes no time making its case.
The Dry Land, the follow-up to 2022’s Fine Thread, is due in July. Long Odds recorded the album in a single day last June, with Philip Reed Hunter and the band’s own Joseph Anthony Camerlengo handling the session. To mark the announcement, they’ve shared “Faorah,” a brief, unhurried track that carries a kind of worn-in warmth. If anything, it sounds like time has taken the edge off Elliott, which here feels like a compliment.
The album’s tracklist runs as follows:
01 “Perfect Day”
02 “Before Here”
03 “Faorah”
04 “Dead Friends”
05 “Power Grid”
06 “New Dawn”
07 “Survive”
08 “Here”
The Dry Land arrives on 7/24. Pre-order it here.
