Druski visits John Legend, Jamie Foxx, Cardi B and Martin Lawrence in a loud BET Awards promo ahead of the June 28 show.

Druski is making sure nobody can claim they missed their invitation to the 2026 BET Awards. In a new promo for the June 28 show, the comedian and host goes door-to-door to round up some of the culture’s biggest names, turning each stop into its own over-the-top bit.
The clip, shared in a new promo for the ceremony, starts with John Legend opening his front door to find Druski waiting outside with a gospel choir. Legend, understandably, wants to know what’s going on. Druski keeps it simple: “I’m hosting the BET Awards!” The choir jumps in with “He’s the host!” and Druski delivers the message that Legend is invited to “culture’s biggest night.” As the group sings that the awards show is set for June 28, Legend praises the vocals and dances back inside.
From there, Druski pivots to Jamie Foxx, arriving on horseback in a nod that makes the whole thing feel even more committed to the bit. He tells Foxx he’s hosting “the culture’s biggest night” and that the dress code is black suit and tie. Foxx, with the kind of deadpan only Jamie Foxx can really sell, fires back: “It’s black suit and tie but can you get your black a— off my street,” before turning down the offer to ride to the show on the horse.
Then comes Cardi B’s turn, and Druski escalates again. This time he shows up with a mariachi band in tow, only to realize Cardi is Dominican, not Mexican. He pushes through the mix-up and hands over the invite anyway, telling her to “bring the girls out.” Cardi answers in kind: “You know I’ll bring the girls,” she says, before adding, “Thank you, papacitos!”
For the final stop, Druski trades the horse and musicians for something louder: a huge BET Awards sign and pyrotechnics outside Martin Lawrence’s house. Lawrence starts to push back, asking if Druski thinks he has time to get a black suit and tie, but Druski cuts him off by relighting the sparklers. The two shout “June 28th” at each other before Lawrence heads back inside and closes the door.
The 2026 BET Awards will air live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on June 28, a date Druski makes sure nobody in the promo forgets. The full invitation clip is below.
