Charli xcx shares vinyl-only B-side “I Keep On Thinking Bout You Every Single Day and Night” with a black-and-white Kyoto video.

Charli xcx has slipped a new track into the world, but only if you know where to look. “I Keep On Thinking Bout You Every Single Day and Night” arrives as the B-side to her “Rock Music” 7-inch, and for now it exists outside streaming entirely.
There is, however, a music video on Charli’s Instagram side account. The song was shared on Saturday, May 8, one day after she unveiled “Rock Music,” and she sent fans to @b.sides, the account she uses for behind-the-scenes material that doesn’t land on her main page.
The new song finds Charli fixating on someone she can’t quite shake. Over stripped-back production and a brisk 1:32 runtime, she toys with the idea of desire, identity, and maybe even swapping places with the object of her attention. “I’m probably not,” she sings, after flirting with the line “maybe I could be gay,” before adding, “I’ve always wondered if you were actually gay/ Or if that’s somеthing you just say for your career.”
It opens with a nod to French New Wave-era art cinema: “Maybe we could become each other/ Like somethin’ out of a Jacques Rivette movie or somethin’.” From there, the hook keeps circling back to the same fixation, plain and repetitive in the best way: “I keep thinkin’ ’bout you, every single day/ I keep thinkin’ ’bout you, every single night.”
The video matches the song’s elusive energy. Shot in black and white in Kyoto, Japan, with one handheld camera, it watches Charli move through a stairwell and roll across a dance studio floor, more observer than spectacle. In her caption on @b.sides, she said, “i keep on thinking bout you every single day and night’ the b side to rock music. i went to kyoto for six weeks to shoot a film. while we were there, i made this video with aidan. only available on vinyl & here on b.sides. so rip the audio if you want it xx,”
At press time, the Rock Music 7-inch is sold out on Charli’s official webstore, though the page lists record stores in the U.S., U.K. and France that will receive limited quantities. Since it’s not on streaming services, the only official way to hear “I Keep On Thinking Bout You Every Single Day and Night” right now is through the Instagram video.
