Teddy Swims has been added to the 2026 American Music Awards performer lineup, joining Twenty One Pilots and KATSEYE ahead of the Memorial Day broadcast hosted by Queen Latifah in Las Vegas.

Teddy Swims is the newest performer confirmed for the 2026 American Music Awards, with the announcement arriving Tuesday, May 5.
Swims, who broke through in 2023-24 with “Lose Control,” is also up for collaboration of the year for “Gone Gone Gone” with David Guetta and Tones and I. The track reached No. 51 on the Hot 100 in February 2026.
Queen Latifah is set to host the show, which airs live coast-to-coast on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. Her AMA history goes back decades: she previously co-hosted the ceremony in 1995 alongside Tom Jones and Lorrie Morgan.
The 52nd American Music Awards will broadcast on CBS and stream on Paramount+ for the second straight year. It also marks the second AMA ceremony since the show returned from a two-and-a-half-year hiatus, and the second consecutive edition staged in Las Vegas. Before that, the AMAs aired on ABC and were held in the Los Angeles area. Tickets are available via AXS.
Nominations were announced April 14, and fan voting opened the same day. Voting remains open through Friday, May 8.
Below is the current list of announced performers for the 2026 AMAs, ordered by announcement date.
Teddy Swims
One nomination: collaboration of the year for “Gone Gone Gone” (with David Guetta and Tones and I).
Twenty One Pilots
Two nominations: best rock/alternative artist and best rock/alternative album for Breach.
The duo of Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun won both categories last year, when they were listed as rock categories. Breach, their eighth studio album, hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in September 2025, becoming their second chart-topper.
KATSEYE
Three nominations: new artist of the year, best music video for “Gnarly,” and breakthrough pop artist.
Among groups and duos, only Fuerza Regida has more AMA nominations this year, with five. KATSEYE’s three nods put them in a five-way tie for second among groups and duos, alongside BTS, HUNTR/X, The Marías, and Sleep Token. “Gnarly” peaked at No. 82 on the Hot 100 in January 2026.
The American Music Awards are produced by Dick Clark Productions, owned by Penske Media Eldridge, a joint venture between Eldridge Industries and Penske Media, Billboard’s parent company.
