2027 Grammy Awards Set for Feb. 7 on ABC, with Nominations Due in November

The 2027 Grammy Awards will air Feb. 7 on ABC, with nominations set for Nov. 16 and key season dates now announced.

The 2027 Grammy Awards will air live on ABC from Crypto.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2027, with streaming set for Disney+ and Hulu. The announcement came Tuesday, May 12, during Disney’s Upfront presentation in New York City, alongside the reveal that nominations will be announced on Monday, Nov. 16.

It’s a notable return for the Grammys. The show will air on ABC for the first time since 1972, after the move to ABC, Hulu and Disney+ was first announced in October 2024. Harvey Mason Jr., CEO of the Recording Academy, framed the shift as a fresh chapter for the awards show and, in the Academy’s current wording, the Grammys themselves.

“The Grammys are all about celebrating the music that moves the world, and this moment is built on exactly that,” said Harvey Mason jr., CEO of the Recording Academy – whom the Grammys are now also identifying as CEO of the Grammys. “This is an exciting time for us as an organization — a new home and a bold new chapter for the Grammy Awards. We’re just getting started and the best is yet to come.”

The broadcast history is a tidy little loop. The first two live Grammy telecasts, in 1971 and 1972, both ran on ABC before the ceremony moved to CBS in 1973. It stayed there through the 2026 edition, which aired on Feb. 1, and the last four broadcasts also streamed on Paramount+.

Crypto.com Arena has been the Grammys’ most familiar home base for years, hosting all but four editions since 2000. The exceptions came in 2003 and 2018, when the show was staged at Madison Square Garden in New York, and in 2021 and 2022, when the pandemic and its aftermath forced relocations to the Los Angeles Convention Center and the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The Academy has not yet named a host for 2027, though Trevor Noah has handled the last six telecasts. For fans already looking ahead, the season’s key dates are now on the calendar: the eligibility period runs from Aug. 31, 2025 through Aug. 28, 2026; media company registration is open from June 25, 2026 through Aug. 14, 2026; online entry runs from July 7, 2026 through Aug. 21, 2026; first-round voting takes place Oct. 12 to Oct. 22, 2026; nominations land Nov. 16, 2026; final-round voting follows from Dec. 10, 2026 to Jan. 7, 2027; and the 2027 Grammy Awards will take place on Feb. 7, 2027.
