Andrew Lownie Defends Claims Sarah Ferguson and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Were in a ‘Friends With Benefits’ Relationship
Andrew Lownie stands by claims that Sarah Ferguson had a sexual relationship with Sean “Diddy” Combs in new Entitled paperback extracts.
Royal author Andrew Lownie is standing by his claim that Sarah Ferguson once had a sexual relationship with Sean “Diddy” Combs, as a new extract from his updated book Entitled adds fresh, explosive allegations to an already bruising story.
Lownie first charted the lives of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and his ex-wife Ferguson in the 2025 book Entitled, and on Saturday, May 9, he published new claims about the pair in an extract from the paperback edition, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, which is set to be published on May 21.
In the extract, published by the Daily Mail, Lownie says a former employee at Combs’ Bad Boy Records described the rapper as obsessed with the royal family and claimed he boasted about sleeping with Ferguson. The source also alleged that Combs once said “he could not wait until Fergie’s daughters come of age”.
Last year, Combs was sentenced to four years and two months in prison after his federal prostitution-related conviction.
The book also cites another associate of the rapper who says Ferguson and Combs first met at a 2002 party hosted by Ghislaine Maxwell, before what the author describes as a secret “friends with benefits” relationship beginning in 2004 and lasting for years.
Maxwell, a friend of Ferguson and Jeffrey Epstein’s former partner, was convicted in December 2021 of sex trafficking and related charges tied to procuring underage girls for Epstein.
Not everyone is buying it. A source close to Ferguson dismissed the new claims in a statement to The Sunday Times, calling them “This is absolute fabricated nonsense, blatantly untrue, and yet another false allegation from him.”
Lownie, though, says the reporting is solid. He told the paper his evidence came from multiple people and insisted he had no doubts about his sources: “I stand by it, it’s fully sourced with former employees of P Diddy and Sarah Ferguson,” he said, adding that Ferguson was proven to have lied about breaking contact with Epstein in 2011.
That Epstein connection remains a huge part of the background here. Last September, an email surfaced showing Ferguson calling Epstein, who was arrested in July 2019 on sex trafficking charges, her “supreme friend” and apologising for publicly criticising him, just weeks after saying she would have nothing to do with him.
Several charities dropped her as a patron and ambassador after the email became public.
The hardback edition of Entitled was released last August and already set off a wave of damaging and lurid claims, including the allegation that Andrew was a “serial sex addict” who had supposedly slept with more than 1,000 women. The paperback version now extends that saga with new claims about Ferguson and Combs, including Lownie’s assertion that a men’s fragrance Combs released in 2006, called “Unforgivable”, was inspired by Ferguson and the way she liked a man to smell.
He also claims Ferguson introduced her two daughters to Combs on multiple occasions, including a yacht party weekend in 2006 when Eugenie was 16. According to the author, a royal staff member told him: “Sean’s parties were wild. The fact that she brought Eugenie around was alarming.”
