Riley Green Joins ‘The Voice’ as Season 30 Coach Alongside Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine
Riley Green will join Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine as a coach on The Voice season 30, set to air this fall on NBC and Peacock.

The 37-year-old country star revealed on social media Saturday, May 9, that he will join The Voice as a coach for season 30, putting him alongside previously announced coaches Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine. The NBC competition series is set to return this fall on NBC and will also stream on Peacock.
Green shared the announcement just before his concert at Ameris Bank Amphitheatre in Alpharetta, Georgia, part of his Cowboy As It Gets arena tour across North America. “I guess y’all can start calling me coach… see ya this fall. @nbcthevoice #thevoice,” he wrote in the caption on his Instagram account.
The post includes a clip of Green listening to a voicemail from Clarkson, who opens by using both of their full names before quickly acknowledging how strange that sounds. “That is officially the last time we’re gonna use each other’s full name ’cause we’re not tools,” she says in the message, before welcoming him to The Voice. She also says they have never officially met, but that she is “super stoked to coach alongside you.”
Clarkson adds another layer to the welcome by calling herself a “superfan” and a “big fan,” though she makes clear the show still means competition. She also says she sent Green a personalized coach chair decorated with duck calls. “I think you’re gonna need the practice because Kelly’s gonna whoop that ass,” she jokes.
Carson Daly, who hosts the series, left a congratulatory comment of his own beneath Green’s post. “Welcome to the fam!! Can’t wait to hang! You drink right? Pls God say yes,” he wrote.
Green arrives at The Voice with plenty of momentum already behind him. He has notched four No. 1s on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, including “Worst Way” and “You Look Like You Love Me,” his collaboration with Ella Langley. He has also picked up multiple CMA and ACM Awards.
The singer-songwriter is also due to perform at the ACM Awards on May 17, where he is nominated for male artist of the year, album of the year for Don’t Mind If I Do (Deluxe), artist-songwriter of the year, and music event of the year for “Don’t Mind If I Do,” featuring Langley.
In another recent career move, Green made his acting debut in April on the CBS series Marshals. He plays Garrett, a former Navy SEAL who comes into Montana carrying personal demons he needs to confront.
