6ix9ine drew backlash after shocking abortion remarks at a gender reveal party for girlfriend Aliday Alter’s pregnancy.

Tekashi 6ix9ine has set off another round of backlash, this time over what he said at his girlfriend’s gender reveal party.
The 30-year-old rapper, born Daniel Hernandez, was caught on a livestream telling a group of streamers that the pregnancy would be terminated if the baby turned out to be a girl. TMZ shared the clip, in which he says, “If it’s not a boy, it’s an a-bor-tion.”
The moment landed awkwardly with the streamers in attendance, Adin Ross, Clavicular and N3ON, who seemed visibly thrown off before trying to laugh it away. 6ix9ine then walked them over to his girlfriend, Aliday Alter, and when they asked what gender she thought the baby would be, she laughed and said she believed it was a girl. He doubled down right there, claiming she was on the same page.
“She’s down,” he said. “She’s open-minded.”
Later in the party, the couple revealed they are expecting a baby boy, a detail that landed as the one piece of relief in an otherwise ugly moment.

Alter first announced her pregnancy in April, posting a beach photo in a cheetah-print dress that showed her baby bump. According to TMZ, she and 6ix9ine have been dating for about a year. “My world is about to change,” she wrote on Instagram.
6ix9ine is already reportedly a father to a 12-year-old daughter with ex-girlfriend Sara Molina, and another daughter, 7, with Marlayna M.
The episode arrives not long after he turned himself in in January to begin a three-month sentence for violating the terms of his supervised release tied to his racketeering case. He was found with cocaine and MDMA, and also admitted to assaulting a man who had allegedly taunted him about cooperating with authorities during a trip to a Florida mall.
