Don Toliver Kicks Off the Octane Tour With a High-Voltage Rolling Loud Orlando Headlining Set

Five years after first stepping onto the Rolling Loud stage, Don Toliver came back to Orlando on Friday night (May 8) and used the moment to set off his Octane Tour in front of a massive crowd at Rolling Loud Orlando.

The Cactus Jack artist hit the headliner slot on night one, turning Camping World Stadium into the kind of scene festival-goers wait all year for. About an hour before he was due on at around 9:45 p.m. ET, a heavy downpour soaked the field. By the time Toliver emerged, smoke, tree foliage and plants had replaced EsDeeKid’s castle set, leaning the whole thing toward a rainforest-garden look that felt oddly right for the chaos outside.

He arrived in his familiar dove white jacket and matching pants from designer Dingyun Zhang, then opened the show with a new mask before ditching it, along with the jacket, for an Octane Mountain T-shirt. From there, the first blast of “E85” did exactly what it was supposed to do. The snappy synths hit and the roughly 60,000 fans in Orlando reacted like they’d been waiting for that cue all night. The track, which opened Octane, has stayed in the Billboard Hot 100’s top 40 since the album arrived in late January, and it still lands like a statement.

“Open that s–t up!” Toliver yelled before “Opposite,” and the room immediately got louder, messier, hotter. Drinks went up, bodies crashed together in sweaty moshpits, and the set kept moving through Octane cuts like “Call Back,” “Gemstone,” “ATM” and “Body,” with the crowd shouting almost every word back at him. It was another reminder that the album has held its place, still sitting inside the Billboard 200’s top 10 since January while projects from J. Cole and A$AP Rocky have fallen out of the top 100.

From there, Toliver shifted into fan favorites and older touchstones, revisiting “Cardigan” and his breakout feature on Travis Scott’s Astroworld highlight “Can’t Say” before the night’s biggest surprise. YEAT came out to join him for Octane’s glossy “Rendezvous,” then stayed for a solo turn on “Comë n Go” from his 2025 release. The moment landed like a flex, but also like proof that Toliver’s orbit is widening in real time.

He also leaned into the joke economy that follows him now, nodding to the Dr. Nefario memes that grew out of his 2024 Rolling Loud performance of “Too Many Nights” as he tossed out dance moves that looked more like Fortnite emotes than anything else. “No Pole” has quietly become a catalog favorite, and the set only got stronger as he moved toward the finish line with Internet Money’s “Lemonade,” “BANDIT” and Heaven or Hell’s “After Party.” “I want you to sing this s–t with me. This the drive,” he told the crowd, before circling all the way back to “E85” to close the show where it started.

Earlier on Friday, footage had surfaced of Toliver being detained, and he addressed the speculation by previewing the “E85” video on the jumbotrons. The clip shows him getting arrested after a high-speed chase in his Porsche and later in an interrogation room, and it’s expected to get an official release soon.

By the end of the night, the point was hard to miss. Toliver’s first half of 2026 has put him squarely in rap’s upper tier, and the way he blended psychedelic trap, arena-scale hooks and festival-mobbing energy suggested he’s not waiting for anyone’s approval. If anything, he’s already got peers behind him in the rear-view mirror.

The Octane Tour continues next week in Tulsa on May 12, with a homecoming show in Houston set for May 14.
