From Ashes to New Nab First Radio Chart No. 1 With ‘Drag Me’

From Ashes to New climbed to No. 1 on Billboard’s May 16-dated Mainstream Rock Airplay chart — their first time atop a radio chart — as “Drag Me” rose into the lead.

The Pennsylvania rock band scored the milestone on their 13th entry to the survey. Their Mainstream Rock Airplay history stretches back to 2016, when “Through It All” reached No. 6 and launched the group’s first of seven top 10s. Until now the band’s high-water mark had been 2024’s “Barely Breathing,” a collaboration with Against the Current that peaked at No. 2.

Chart movement around this week’s tally underscores a busy season for the format: six acts have reached No. 1 on Mainstream Rock Airplay for the first time in 2026, in line with the 10 that did so in all of 2025. “Drag Me” takes the top spot from Dayseeker’s “Crawl Back to My Coffin,” which held No. 1 for a single week.

Beyond the rock radio-exclusive chart, “Drag Me” is rising across formats. It jumped from No. 24 to No. 17 on the Rock & Alternative Airplay chart, registering 2.2 million radio audience impressions in the tracking week ending May 7, a 17% increase, per Luminate. That climb makes it From Ashes to New’s best showing on that audience-based chart, eclipsing the No. 20 peak of “Barely Breathing.”

On the multimetric Hot Hard Rock Songs chart dated May 9, which reflected activity from April 24-30, “Drag Me” reached a new No. 20 peak. The track also logged 344,000 chart-eligible streams in the United States during that period.

“Drag Me” appears on Reflections, the band’s fifth studio album, released April 17. To date the record has earned 19,000 equivalent album units.
