Katy Perry will headline the Los Angeles opening ceremony for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, performing at SoFi Stadium on June 12 ahead of the U.S. men’s team’s match against Paraguay. According to The New York Times’ The Athletic, the ceremonies have assembled a sprawling, multinational roster that spreads across the three host countries.

Who’s playing where
Los Angeles’ show feels built for spectacle: Perry will be joined on the SoFi stage by Future and DJ Sanjoy. The Toronto opening, set for June 12 when Canada faces Bosnia & Herzegovina, leans into homegrown voices — Michael Bublé will perform alongside Alessia Cara and Alanis Morissette. The Athletic also listed Canadian artists Jessie Reyez, Nora Fatehi and William Prince as part of the broader festivities, though it did not explicitly tie each to the June 12 set.
Mexico kicks off the tournament a day earlier, on June 11, at Estadio Azteca where fans will be met with a pregame performance from rock stalwarts Maná, plus Tyla and Los Ángeles Azules.
Beyond those marquee stops, the opening ceremonies will scatter international acts across venues and events: the report names LISA, Anitta, J Balvin, Danny Ocean, Elyanna and Marilina Bogado among the performers slated to appear in various capacities.
It’s a lineup that mixes pop maximalism and regional stars — a reminder that the World Cup’s pageantry is now as global and playlist-driven as the tournament itself.
FIFA has not yet revealed the artist or artists for the World Cup Final Halftime Show on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
An official World Cup album is also in motion. Shakira teased a reggaetón-Afrobeats fusion with Burna Boy: the collaboration “Dai Dai” is set to arrive with a music video on May 14.
