Little Simz Quietly Drops Sugar Girl EP Featuring JT, DEELA & 070 Shake

Little Simz has quietly dropped Sugar Girl, a four-song EP she teased a couple of weeks ago and released with little fanfare. The brief collection brings JT, DEELA, and 070 Shake into her orbit, folding each guest into distinct, immersive atmospheres.

Last year Simz released her sixth studio album, Lotus. Shortly after, she appeared in Netflix’s Steve opposite Cillian Murphy and contributed “Don’t Leave Too Soon” to the film’s soundtrack — a busy stretch that kept her working between records and screens.

Each track on Sugar Girl stakes out its own mood rather than leaning on a single throughline. The EP closes on a particularly hazy note: the dreamy finale “Telephone”, which features 070 Shake.
