Turnover Announce Down On Earth, Their First Self-Released LP, Due 5/29

Turnover will self-release their sixth studio album, Down On Earth, on 5/29. It is the bands first record since leaving Run For Cover, the label that had housed them since 2012, and the first time theyve recorded without long-time producer Will Yip.

Instead of Yip, the band leaned on Zac Montez, their front-of-house engineer, as producer. The early returns arrive in two singles: “I See You And Realize” and “Nightjar,” the latter accompanied by a Ben Turok-directed video that captures the bands familiar, lackadaisical strain of dream-pop.

Fans will remember Turnovers last LP, 2022s Myself In The Way, and the group marked ten years of Peripheral Vision last year. Their newly updated calendar—Gov Ball and a Bonnaroo slot among it—makes one obvious point: theyre back on the road with a record to support.
