Jack Johnson will return to Australia and New Zealand this November for six SURFILMUSIC dates, joined by Ben Harper and John Butler, with Emily Wurramara appearing at the Sydney show.

Jack Johnson is heading back to Australia and New Zealand this November with a lineup that feels custom-built for longtime fans of roots, folk and surf-adjacent songwriting. He has announced a six-date run for the SURFILMUSIC 2026 tour, with Ben Harper and John Butler joining as special guests for solo acoustic sets.
The tour opens Nov. 7 at Riverstage in Brisbane, then moves through Kings Park & Botanic Gardens in Perth (Nov. 10), The Domain in Sydney (Nov. 14), Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne (Nov. 17), Spark Arena in Auckland (Nov. 20), and wraps Nov. 22 at Waipara Winehouse in North Canterbury.
Presales begin with artist access on May 7-8, followed by a Mastercard presale running May 8-12. General tickets go on sale Tuesday, May 12 at 2 p.m. local time.
The dates align with Johnson’s upcoming SURFILMUSIC documentary soundtrack, out May 15 and co-scored with Hermanos Gutiérrez. The film premiered at SXSW in March and follows Johnson’s path from Hawaii’s North Shore into surf filmmaking and then music, including the era around Thicker Than Water (1999) and The September Sessions (2000).
Onstage, Johnson will again be backed by Adam Topol, Merlo Podlewski and Zach Gill. The set is expected to pull from staples like “Better Together,” “Flake,” “Inaudible Melodies,” “Taylor” and “Sitting, Waiting, Wishing,” along with new soundtrack material.
The support pairing is a major part of the draw. Harper, a three-time Grammy winner, brings a catalog that spans “Burn One Down,” “Steal My Kisses” and “Diamonds on the Inside,” and a career that has moved more than 16 million records across 18 studio albums. Butler, one of Australia’s defining independent success stories, adds more than two decades of crowd fixtures, including “Zebra,” “Better Than” and “Ocean.”
Sydney gets an additional guest: Indigenous artist Emily Wurramara will appear on that date only. Australian shows are presented by Live Nation in partnership with Double J.
Johnson’s return marks his first run through Australia and New Zealand since 2022. Across eight studio albums, he has sold more than 25 million records globally. Since 2001, album and tour proceeds have helped generate over $40 million for environmental, arts and music education programs through the Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation and the Johnson ʻOhana Foundation, which he co-founded with his wife, Kim.
